Justin Combs gets scholarship to play football at UCLA

New Rochelle (N.Y.) Iona Prep cornerback Justin Combs (5-9, 170) has spent much of his life on the East Coast.
But he plans to spend his college years out West, heading to the Golden State to play college football.

“I'm committed to UCLA,” Combs said. “I was silently committed to UCLA for awhile, but now was the time.”

Combs made his announcement shortly after Rick Neuheisel was fired as the Bruins’ head coach on Monday. But the program's decision didn't worry Combs.

“I have faith in the program that everything will be ok,” Combs said. “My love for UCLA is so strong. I trust and know that everything will work out.”

Combs, who is the son of rap mogul Sean Combs, took an unofficial visit to Westwood in August for the Bruins’ Fall Scrimmage and that was what tipped the scales the Bruins’ way.

“It was love at first sight,” he said. “When I first went on a visit, I fell in love with the program and I fell in love with the environment and the tradition. I was good friends with Rahim Moore too and just to hear it from the players, it was love at first sight."

Combs said he talked regularly with offensive coordinator, and newly named interim coach, Mike Johnson.

“I speak to him often and over email and everything is good with him,” said Combs.

Combs said he was glad to make the decision public.

“It's a big relief to just get it off my chest and share it with my family and friends,” he said. “It’s just a dream come true to be able to claim a school, put on the gear proudly, and be a part of that program and know that I'll be a Bruin. It's a proud and touching moment for me.”

Combs spent the summer playing for the Goon Squad, one of the top 7on7 teams nationally, and put himself on to the map with strong showings all spring and summer, including at the New Level 7on7 National Tournament in Dallas.

Combs said he was glad he was able to prove his worth on his own despite his famous father.

“Most people think that he being my father, he helped get me the offers, but that's not true at all,” he said. “I went out the whole summer, I went to all the 7on7s, all the college camps and I competed my butt off. I made the most of the opportunity. I did this myself. No one did this but me.”

And Combs said his dad was proud that he chose UCLA.

“I spoke to my parents and they just told me since I have strong love, to commit to UCLA,” said Combs. “My dad is really happy for me and told me to just work hard and have faith and everything will work out for me, and it did.”

Combs said he plans to get his family all wrapped in UCLA wear for the holidays.

“The whole family is going to get some gear and rep Bruin Nation gear all over,” he said.

And his father was thrilled about his son's future.

“As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life. This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream," said Sean Combs, in a statement.

Combs said he wasn’t worried about coming in to a new staff at UCLA.

“It’s going to be a clean slate for everyone,” said Combs. “The coach doesn't really know anyone so everyone will have a chance to prove themselves. It's not really a negative. I try to view it and make things positive.”

Combs had visited Illinois officially and was supposed to visit UCLA in mid-December.

“But I think I will visit UCLA in January now,” said Combs.

Combs also said that the talk of him and close friend Deaysean Rippy playing together is still very much in play.

“Ultimately, we’ll go with whatever the best place is for the best of us, but we still might be a package deal,” he said.

Combs played both ways this year for Iona Prep.

“We made it to the semifinals but we lost to the #4 team in the state, 14-10,” said Combs. “I got to play a little Wildcat quarterback and I had 12 touchdowns this year. It was fun and I took advantage of getting to play offense.”

Next up for Combs is the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Phoenix, where he’ll play for the East.

Combs will graduate in June and enroll at UCLA in the summer.

Lil boosie gets 8years

BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge rapper known as “Lil Boosie” has been sentenced to eight years in prison following his guilty plea to drug charges.

The 29-year-old rapper’s real name is Torrence Hatch. He pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiring to smuggle codeine, marijuana and ecstasy into two state prisons. They were the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola and Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, La.

Assistant District Attorney Dana Cummings says Hatch was serving a prison term for a separate conviction for marijuana possession when he smuggled the drugs with help from a prison guard.

State District Judge Mike Erwin in Baton Rouge sentenced him to the new prison term.

Hatch also faces a first-degree murder charge in the 2009 death of Terry Boyd. The trial is scheduled to start April 30.

LL Cool J is working on new music

(AllHipHop News) LL Cool J may have semi-retired after 2008′s album Exit 13, but the Queen’s rapper has by no means put down the microphone.
LL is currently enjoying airplay with the new song “No More,” featuring R&B superstar Ne-Yo.
The track is taken from an episode of CBS’s hit series “NCIS: Los Angeles” which stars LL Cool J.
While LL stopped short of announcing a full-fledged comeback, the pioneering rapper told AllHipHop.com that he is in the studio, recording new material.
“I been doing some music, but I’ve been really focusing on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ quite frankly,” LL Cool J told AllHipHop.com, before admitting he was actually still recording.
“I did work on some new music, with Ne-Yo. I been working with Jim Jonsin in the studio and doing some music,” LL Cool J told AllHipHop.com. “I got real crazy music, but I’m just taking my time.”
Jim Jonsin is a multiple platinum producer who has churned out hits for a who’s-who in the music industry, ranging from artists like Beyonce Knowles and Lil Wayne, to Pitbull and Eminem.
LL Cool J’s last official full-length release was Exit 13, which was released in 2008.
The album was LL’s final release for the label, after a 20-plus year association.
In related news, LL Cool J will host “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live,” which is taking place November 30.
Announced performers include Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Jason Aldean Rihanna, Sugarland, Ludacris and others.
In addition to serving as host, LL is also producing the one-hour special, which airs on CBS live, from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

Suelyn Medeiros super wack sextape hits the Internet

I just watched the teaser for the Suelyn Medeiros sextape. This has to be the worst lovemaking anyone has seen in a long time. Besides her super fake facial expressions dude on the tape looks like thats his first time getting some. He looks like he is concentrating on a science project or something. Neither one of them looks like they are enjoying it even for a minute. It looked like 2 strangers having sex and that is suppose to be her boyfriend....lol

I heard these images were stolen from her computer. Oh well, maybe she will become famous from this garbage.

The King of the South TI covers Vibe Magazine year end issue

The King of the South TI covers Vibe Magazine year end issue

T.I. on people criticizing Tiny for not taking the drug charge.
“I’ma tell you, 50 Cent and anybody else, we not gonn’a have no discussion about what my ole lady should’a, would’a, couda done for anything as it pertains to me,” begins his rant. “We ain’t gonn’a do that. I’m the only one in my family that’s gonna take a lick when it pertains to the legal system. Since me, none of my other family members have seen a jail cell. Nobody. I’m the last one. The buck stops here. I feel that a person that stands behind [his woman for a criminal charge] is a coward anyway.”

VIBE: I doubt she would have gotten any time.
T.I.: She wasn’t gonna catch it period, ’cause I’m there. That wasn’t even a consideration. Even if she asked me to I would’ve been like, “Nah, you trippin’.”

So you didn’t feel you were more valuable to your family, employees and business partners on the street?
That’s a discussion between me and another man. Not with the mother of my children. Not with the nurturer of my household.

Rick Ross and Wale cover Billboard Magazine

Here is an excerpt of Rozay talking about his album title God Forgives I Dont:

“This album is almost like a movie,” Ross says. “I wanted [the title] to be something that was extremely emotional, to set up a real roller coaster ride as far as the music and thought process. It sounds like a term of retaliation, and with the picture that I’m painting, it felt perfect.”

Ross on being clutch:

“I understand why New York’s a huge fan of Derek Jeter — because in the playoffs he always delivered, he always came through,” Ross says. “And that’s what it is when it comes to big records, big collaborations. I was fortunate last year to have a run with the biggest names in the game”.
