Our favorite reality shows of 2011 the Kardashians and more

I wanted to talk a little bit about our favorite reality shows

1- The Kardashians mostly cause I like looking at Kims cakes
2- The TO show, I like to see him arguing with his publicist it makes me chuckle
3- Lala Vasquez and Carmelo, they make a nice couple and I'm a big B Ball fan so it makes for good television
4- Basketball wives, the fighting gets old but I like to see the different personalities trying to get along for television.
5- Millionaire Matchmaker, I like to see these successful guys letting their guards down and letting someone find a match for them. They were able to make millions but cant figure women out.

So if you watch television which I mostly try to avoid but when you do make it to a television you can peep these shows for a little chuckle.

I thought TI just got out of jail

Honestly I didn't realize TI was in jail. I thought he just got out. Anyway, I hear he is coming home soon. It's a shame when people can't keep up with you cause you in and out of jail. I'm starting to think he may like it there right along with DMX.

I'm hearing that Kreayshawn nude pics got leaked online, not interested. I also hear that they are under aged pics, now how did that happen and who the hell was taking pics of a little girl? Not interested in her and most def not checking for her music. Hopefully this Freakshow gets dropped when her album tanks.

Mayweather vs Ortiz coming Sept 16 who will win

I watched Ortiz fight and he is champion but does he have what it takes to beat Floyd.
Ortiz is a great power puncher but he is a brawler and he gets hit way too much. Floyd is not a brawler he is a very tactical fighter. I think Ortiz will get frustrated and will get hit with a lot of punches while Mayweather will move and block his punches. I say Floyd will knock him out in the later rounds like 8 or 9. Ortiz gets hit way too much to beat Floyd. What do you think?

The Kardashians make big dollars out of television

Am I the only one that thinks the Kardashians are making moves just for TV. I can't lie I watch the show but I dont even know why. Maybe sometimes I watch to get a glimpse at Kims cakes but that gets old. Then Kloe got married after a week and then Kim got married after a few weeks. Makes for good TV but are they sacrificing having real feelings for ratings.

Anyway I like the show and how they managed to make 60 million in one year. From clothing to perfume and stores they have an incredible business model. Now they have 5 shows and they don't seem like they are slow g down.

Young Money is the hottest hip hop label right now

Ok let me defend myself about giving them that title. Not only does Young money have Wayne, but Nicki minaj the hottest female artist and platinum hit song writer Drake. This would make them the hottest hip hop crew right now and possibly for some years to come. If they can keep it together I can see them reigning for the next 5 years.

I would have to say Good music is next because the have Kanye and Big Sean who is a great song writer also. Good music only has one star though and that's Kanye no one else managed to sell a lot of records.

Roc nation is next only off the strength of Jay Z cause J Cole can't make a good record. I think Roc nation is focusing on pop music, I think Jay is done with hip hop. Hardcore hip hop is not doing the type of numbers Jay likes.

Then you have Maybach music strictly off the strength of Rick Ross. Meek mill is talented but has not made a hot selling song as of yet. Right now Ross is the only star at Maybach.

So right now Young money has 3 heavy hitters and no team has matched that success as of yet.
J Cole, Meek mill, Big Sean still have a lot to prove, they have to make some hits in order to go down in history.

Where does Soulja boy go from here

With his fame fading quickly Soulja boy is considering going to college. The Forbes says he made 7 million in 2010. Great money but not as much as one may think. After taxes 3.5 Mille then you have you general expenses, manager etc he would prob be somewhere around 1 Mille if he is lucky. Soulja boys last two albums did horribly. The latest struggling to go gold and only selling 8,000 copies in the first week. Many believe the days of him selling albums is over. I never was a big fan of his music, I liked the Crank that song but that's about it, I never bought or played his music. Hopefullyl he can drop another big record and get back on track but I think Soulja is becoming more interested in the real world.

Kelly Rowland doesn't work as a solo act

Kelly struck gold with the Lil Wayne single but did her album sell any units?
It's hard for me to even find that info that usually means no. I know her single Motivation sold 1 million units. Why did it take so long for Kelly to come up with a hit record? Why is Kelly so underrated? First of all she is always compared to her partner that happens to be one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world Beyonce. Next to Beyonce, Kelly will always be a backup singer. Kelly Rowland is cute not gorgeous and she is an ok singer not great. She does not have her own style something that a lot of young singers struggle with today. Beyonce always had her signature big weaves. If Kelly Rowland really wants to sell records she has to develop her own obvious style and make better choices musically. Motivation is only one record, can you drop some more hits and has she developed a loyal fan base?

I'm not sold on Kelly Rowland yet, I don't even like the Motivation song to me it only sold because Wayne was on it and his fans picked it up. So Kelly keep the hits coming if you can.

Amber rose nude is not news been ther done that. She was a stripper that means thousands of men have seen her nude not a big deal. She does do nude very well but what exactly is she famous for being Kanye west girlfriend. Now she is talking about having children but when will you start your career? What do you do? At least Kim kardashian made a career out of being bimbo. Take some lessons from the Kardashian journal on how to make a bimbo relevant.

Dmx if no one else will come to the table and drop some knowledge on that ass I will. Stop the bullshit and think about your family. Stop breaking the law you can't do what you want in this world. Will the Carter 4 rock the throne

The anticipation is building for the Carter 4 and I am wondering if it will sell more
Than the collaborative effort from Jay and Kanye. The Throne is one of my favorite albums and I have to say I'm not a fan of How to love. How can a womanizer like Wayne tell someone how to love. Anyway I'm predicting that the Carter 4 will do slightly less than Watch the throne. Hopefully I won't eat my words.

Amber Rose says she wants babies with Wiz Khalifa

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have been going strong for a while now and she’s absolutely convinced that he’s the one she wants to marry and have kids with. She recently sat down with Global Grind and revealed that she’s just about ready to be a mother, although her career is her priority.

” I want to be a mom really bad. I really want babies. I’ll be 28 in October and my maternal instinct is ready.”

Amber also discussed marriage, rumors & lies that surround her and all the attention she receives.

Amber Rose On Planning To Marry Wiz Khalifa:
We’re definitely going to get married and have babies. Not right now because we’re still busy and we still want to enjoy each other first. We want to go on vacation, travel and just enjoy each other company, but he’s definitely the one. We’re definitely going to lay it down and get it done.

Amber Rose On Rumors and Lies:
Worst thing I read about myself, are the countless rumors that are just made up off the top of someone’s head. They don’t care about my life or my livelihood. They were just like ‘Oh there’s nothing going on in the world, let’s make up something about Amber, post it and everyone in the world believed it.’

Amber Rose On All The Attention:
I do not like attention at all. I don’t like to be out there. It seems like that because the paparazzi follows me and I’ll get photographed, but I’m always kind of like really low key and they just catch me. I always try to go another way so I’m not bothered or out there. I’m really shy.

Watch the throne pop up store in NYC

Do you remember the day you caught wind on the rumor mill about a Jay-z and Kanye West album? Now do you remember when it was confirmed, how excited you became for hip hop again? Their avant-garde approach to releasing Watch The Throne has been an experience of it’s own, but now they’re really throwing you for a loop!

From going against the music industry’s grain and dodging all leaks to holding listening sessions in a planetarium to now opening their very own pop-up store to sling copies of the album. Located in Manhattan’s trendy SoHo, 201 Mulberry Street, is wrapped in gold like the album’s Riccardo Tisci-designed cover art. But the real eye candy is inside, the duo are putting the innovative Maybach from their “Otis” video on display inside of the retail space.

Rumors are swirling that Hov will make an appearance sometime tonight. For fans stopping by the Mulberry Street store, it will be open on Friday until 10 p.m., on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Jay z tops cash kings list for 4th time in 2011

This week Jay-Z and Kanye West unveiled their long-awaited collaboration, Watch the Throne. The album’s timing and title couldn’t have been more appropriate—the Empire State of Mind rapper is hip-hop’s top earner with $37 million in the past 12 months, claiming his fourth Cash Kings crown in five years; his partner-in-rhyme ranked third.

Fueled by the tail end of his Blueprint 3 Tour and a vast portfolio of business interests, Jay-Z barely edged second-ranked Diddy—who raked in $35 million, roughly half of that total coming from a lucrative partnership with Diageo’s Ciroc vodka—but handily topped West, who earned $16 million. The duo is steaming ahead with plans for co-headlining tour starting this fall.

“Jay-Z and Kanye are hip-hop ambassadors,” says Steve Stoute, chief of branding firm Translation and author of The Tanning of America. “They bring the art form around the world, and they’ve taken production and everything to the next level. Now they’ve got a chance to grow with their global audience.”

Full Coverage: Hip-Hop Cash Kings 2011

The Watch The Throne rappers, whose album debuted around the world exclusively on Apple’s iTunes, aren’t the only ones making millions by going global. Fresh off a eight-month jail stint, Lil Wayne released a new album and performed a slew of shows from Buffalo to Vancouver, netting $15 million over the past year. That sum tied him with his mentor and label boss, Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman, for the fourth spot.

“If we ain’t number one now, we’ll be there soon,” said Birdman while discussing his billion dollar dreams with FORBES. Farther down the list, Swizz Beatz also looked to the future: “I will be #1 next year,” he wrote in an email. Wiz Khalifa—whose high earnings landed him at No. 11—seemed pleasantly surprised to learn he’d be making his Cash Kings debut. “I’m one of them?” he exclaimed. “That’s what’s up!”

The success of hip-hop’s top earners shows just how powerful the genre has become as a commercial force. The top 20 on our list combined to earn $271 million; 13 different artists earned $10 million or more, taking home cash from live shows, recorded music, endorsements and a wide range of other entrepreneurial ventures. The top five combined to earn $118 million in 12 months.

Next on the list is a troika of grizzled veterans—Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Eminem—all tied for the sixth spot at $14 million. Dre’s income got a big boost from Beats by Dre, his lucrative headphone venture with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine; Snoop cashed in on touring and endorsements from Pepsi Max, Metro PCS and others; Eminem continued to earn from his Grammy-winning album, Recovery, as well as a handful of lucrative concerts with Jay-Z at Yankee Stadium in New York and Comerica Park in Detroit.

“There are four hip-hop artists that sell hard tickets: Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye and Lil Wayne,” says Randy Phillips, chief of concert promoter AEG. “Those are the big four. In the past, it hasn’t really been a live medium … Is it changing? When you look at the business Jay and Eminem did in Yankee Stadium, I think it is.”

Frank Ocean covers Fader

Rap radar-

After a breakout year, Odd Future’s Frank Ocean get his first cover story with FADER. Catch the fade and read an excerpt below.

When he was nine, Frank Ocean’s godfather subscribed him to Robb Report, a magazine for the ultra-rich. Less interested in fiduciary smarts, it’s a catalog of conspicuous consumption, highlighting tropical vacations, invaluable antiques and, as Ocean came to know, really expensive cars. Though he comes from a middle class family, he obsessively read the magazine’s classified ads, fixating on exorbitantly priced used Bentleys and Maybachs. “I would just fall in love with all their cars. That was the start.” Ocean, whowas born Christopher Breaux (and goes by Lonny to friends), downscaled his material desires, and when he was 13, began going door-to-door, detailing cars for cash. “I would bring all my supplies. Literally, it was like a movie, I had a wagon, those long red wagons, like a Radio Flyer-type wagon, and I used to buy my own soaps.”
