With all the hype surrounding rapper Drake I think people still fail to realize he is not proven yet. He has not dropped an official album and no one else from Young Money but Wayne have sold units. The name of the game is to sell units, if an artist doesn't sell units then the labels lose money because they have to invest in the current project. I'm looking forward to seeing the results when Drake's album drops. What would actually be considered good? If Drake manages to sell 200,000 first week that would be considered good I think. Anything less than that with all the magazine covers and advertising I don't think the label will make their money back. Let me know your thoughts.
