Hip Hop News: Soulja boy ISouljaboytellem review

After a failed second effort many are wondering if Souljaboy is gonna get the support he needs on the next project. One thing record labels fear is wasting money. So if they feel Souljaboy won't sell on his next project then he may get dropped or they just won't put anything out. For right now his career is up in the air and many feel he should take a back seat and produce. He is officially a one hit wonder and it is almost impossible to come back from that. Cop Isouljaboytellem here at our store

Hip Hop News: Album Review Jamie Foxx "Intuition"

If you haven't copped this album yet you are probably one of those people that don't buy records much because its worth the money. One of my favorite joints on the album is "Blame It" he goes in about crazy behavior and says blame it on the alcohol. I would give this album a 8/10. Why not a 10? You might have to grease my palm to get a ten....lol Buy the album at SPATE Store Here

Hip Hop News: Shane Mosley gives Margorito the beats

On his way to the welterweight championship Shane Mosley dusted off Margarito very easily. Makes you wonder why he had trouble with Cotto. The way Mosley is looking right now he almost seems unbeatable. I would love to see the Winky Wright and Vernon Forest rematch. I know he will dust off Cotto.

Hip Hop News: Asher Roth can rap and save people on planes?

Asher Roth has an untitled album due in stores in March and many are comparing him to Eminem. Well, he doesn't have a long resume as far as hip hop is concerned besides being signed to interscope. This kid came out of nowhere and got a record deal. Not an easy accomplishment in the hip hop world today. With no buzz, no nothing he gets the cover of XXL. Well that brings me to his latest accomplishment, tackler. We hear that he recently help tackle a guy on a flight from ATL to LA. The guy was claiming he had a bomb and tried to skate out the back door and was bum rushed by everyone on the plane including Asher Roth and one of his band members. He got some major publicity from this one, being in the right place at the right time counts for something. Its a tough climate to sell in if you have no history. Nobody knows why this dude got signed and everyone is co signing him. Why is that? The other question is how many successful white rappers can we have in hip hop? I can honestly say that I haven't heard any good songs from this dude, only good freestyles. Freestyles don't sell records but till then keep saving people on planes Asher its good publicity.

Hip Hop News: worldstarhiphop.com and Saigon

I was watching this video of Saigon on worldstarhiphop.com and I was wondering if what he said was true. Do rappers have to show money on camera so people don't believe they are broke? Are people saying there is no money in a rap career then, because Saigon is an actor and does other things besides music. I don't agree that people should show money on camera though because look at Souljaboy and all the other rappers that have gotten robbed. You are calling the thieves to your home, don't do it. Watch video here.

Hip Hop News: Most underated hip hop artist of 2008

There are many rappers that are underrated including Sha Stimuli, Joe Budden and a few others but we chose Joell because he was signed to Dre and didn't drop a major album and even though he is still buzzing he hasn't signed a major deal yet. The main question that comes up is can Joell sell records? Can Joell make a big record? Can we sell Joell's image? The guy has worked hard for his buzz I say he has worked hard enough for a label to take a chance on him.

Hip Hop News: Best hips of 2008

Angel had the coke bottle body on lock in 2008. Many people say her body is fake but how many women in the world have fake body parts nowaday, Look at Pamela Lee she made it big with fake body parts. Sometimes in order to get that look you may have to enhance something here or there. Gotta admit even if she has booty implants they still look good on her.
