When did you start your journey in hip hop?
"I started making beats in 2001 in my basement, then I opened my own studio in Brooklyn called "Da Woodz." It definitely helped my music take off, I had a lot of industry clients like Uncle Murda and the TuneHeadz so that's when my music really graduated to serious.
Who is in your mp3 player?
"Hip-Hop, I got 50 & Kanye on rotation right now. Also of course Jay-Z, Eminem and anything Timbaland and Danja Handz touch. But I vibe with Coldplay, Metallica...sh*t even Dave Matthews Band."
What are your goals for the next 3 years?
"I'm makin it a point to work hard to get a Top-10 hit record. The music is there really, its just about gettin that one song that is "just right" and also got the right promotion. That's really all I'm focused on right now."
Do you believe in God? If yes, how does God play a role in your life?
"Well yeah, I definitely believe in God. Italian family, of course we believe in God haha! Really though, I get my faith in life through God...life throws tough sh*t at you and you know what, what keeps me going is my faith that it'll all be worth it in the end."
Do you have any groupie stories? If yes, what was the craziest thing a chick did to get your attention?
"Haha, well let's just say the ladies love Fuzzerelli. But I've been crazy focused on my music for a while now...gotta leave them groupies alone!"
Who do you think is the best lyricist of all time?
"Pac, hands down. But Pac's been gone for a long time now so the top dude in terms of who's the best since is definitely Eminem. Creativity, flow, presence, he is straight up just above everyone else."
What type of equipment do you use in the studio for production?
"I got the MPC2000XL, and for my sounds I got the Triton, V-Synth, Fantom, and Motif keyboards. The most important thing though is the sound card though, we got a top Pro Tools TDM system that makes everything sound like it should."
How has the internet helped your career?
"Well, straight up it has opened up what I do to the world. I was just checkin my MySpace map of visitors and saw hits in Japan, Australia, Africa...these people never would hear of me until I had an international hit but now they check out my page and see what I'm about. To me, that's crazy!"
How has the internet hurt your career?
"I'm definitely addicted to MySpace now."
It has been a pleasure to speak to you, tell the people where they can find you and add anything else you want the people to know.
"2008 is the year where people will know the name, Mighty Fuzz Young...don't get it twisted, I'm here to change the game. Check the site for the heat, www.myspace.com/MightyFuzzYoung. I also got some fire from my artists B.Stallion ( www.myspace.com/BlackStallionMusic) and Genovese and Gustapo, the "First Cousins" (www.myspace.com/FirstCousinsMusic ) comin out next year.
