Smif and Wesson drop new album on 10-23-07

New music from Smif and Wesson. The album will be dropping on Oct 23rd. I had the pleasure of going to the listening session and it sounds like classic hip-hop. I hope everyone reading this is gonna feel what im about to say because someone has too. When you have rap artists like Smif and Wesson that don't give in to what is hot and they stick with their plan and forget about what other people think you gotta love it. That's what hip-hop is all about. Being original and not giving in to commercial success. Even though every rapper wants to have a number one hit but some are not willing to give up the respect. You would never see a group like Smif and Wesson make a dance track like Soulja boy. They probably laugh at songs like that but that's why you should hear this album. Soulja boy is hot but hip-hop is missing the versatility it once had. Not everyone can make a "Crank That" song and be able to feel good about it when they wake up in the morning. If you come in the game making those type of records, that's fine but if you come in hardcore and flip flop and start making "Crank That" records you are not gonna get the respect because now you are only doing it for financial gain not for the love. Smif and Wesson do it for the love and im tired of seeing rap artists like this not get those number one hits. All hip-hop artists should be making number one hits because everything these guys have to say is important. So lets support all types of hip-hop and bring versatility back to the game.
